JumpStart

Good Samaritan, in partnership with New Beginning Therapeutic Services LLC, Piedmont Mountainside, and the UGA Extension Office, has created a free wellness program designed to help you better manage your high blood pressure, diabetes, and other chronic conditions. JumpStart is designed to help you improve understanding of overall health, gain better eating & exercise habits, and stay active.
Due to COVID-19 and health concerns, Good Samaritan is offering this program virtually. Enjoy six weeks of education, nutrition, and exercise instruction absolutely free AND from the comfort of your own home.

Substance Abuse Program

Good Samaritan Health and Wellness Center wants to help people safely deal with opiate abuse. We are offering substance abuse treatment using the medication Suboxone (main ingredient-buprenorphine). This program focuses on helping people addicted to opiates (for example : pain killers, heroin, fentanyl). Once a patient is approved for the program, the health providers at Good Samaritan will maintain the patient on a daily dose of Suboxone. We also offer other oral medications and Vivitrol injections that help reduce the cravings for opiates and/or alcohol. MAT patients are monitored closely and are offered counseling with a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and an alcohol and drug counselor.

Family Planning

Good Samaritan provides confidential family planning services to women, men, and teens. Our voluntary family planning services include counseling on contraceptive methods, pregnancy planning, educational materials, and related preventive health services. Uninsured patients need to apply for our sliding fee scale, but no one is denied access to family planning services because of inability to pay at the time of service.
